Here's how you get content!
Method One
Click on any of the "Quick Links" to view the
content in the category you select. In some cases, there is a
tremendous amount of content, for instance, we have the LARGEST midi
collection on the internet. YES, THE LARGEST, at over 6000 midi files!
These content pages will take a few moments to load, be patient. Now,
when the content appears, it's in an easy to navigate tree view.
Simply expand the tree and view the content listings. When you find
something you like, click the item and it will either load in a new browser
window, for example, images. Or it will open your default media player
and you may sample the selection. If you like it, just close the other
browser or media player and RIGHT CLICK your selection and choose the option
to "Save Target As..." and simply save it to your hard drive. Once
you've saved the content to your hard drive, follow your normal procedure to
load it to your handset. Most people opt for a serial or USB cable
connection and have an application provided by their phone manufacturer to
copy material to their phone. OR follow Method Two... a
Method Two
This site is also available directly from your
phone's WAP Browser! Simply launch a browser session and choose the
option to open a URL. Enter www.stuff4myphone.com into the URL, capital
letters is not necessary, and in most cases neither is the HTTP:// prefix!
Once you have the site open on your phone, just
navigate the site as normal, and when you see something you like, select it
for download. All file sizes are listed so you'll always now how big
the file is BEFORE you download it! Nice huh...
The MEMBERS ONLY section is also available directly
from your phone. You will have to complete the registration process
on-line and obtain your password before you can access the MEMBERS ONLY
section from your phone. Once you've registered, simply go to the same
address above in Method Two, and the first option is MEMBER LOGIN.
Tip-for quick member login, from most phones, just press the number 1 from
the main menu. After you enter your login information, you'll be
redirected to the MEMBERS ONLY area. Some phones notify you with a
message "Fetch Redirected URL", others do not. If you receive the
message, simply press Yes or Confirm to enter the MEMBERS ONLY sections.
MP3
Ringtone Development Guidelines:
MP3 file sizes should not be any larger than 150K maximum.
As a general rule Ring Tones should not be longer than 30
seconds because most carriers roll the call to voicemail after
about 4 rings. Ring Tones longer than 30 seconds will just
not be heard and waste valuable phone memory.
In general, 15-25
seconds is all that's required for an MP3 Ring Tone.
Furthermore, for good quality, Ring Tones should be encoded into
MP3 format at no more than 64Kbit, but usually should be
32K-40K, AND have a sampling frequency of about 22,050Khz.
Always convert to MONO to save additional space without
sacrificing sound quality |
| Large File
Sizes will not be moved into the members area |

WallPaper
Development Guidlines:
Mobile Handsets have small screens, yes? So, uploading
images that you've downloaded from the web and used as your
Desktop Wallpaper, or other purpose cannot simply be used as a
Wallpaper for your mobile handset. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD
IMAGES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FORMATTED FOR A MOBILE HANDSET.
In general, JPG
and GIF images work very well for Mobile Handsets. The Motorola
Vxxx series handset uses images in the dimension of 176X220
pixels, Width X Height does vary among handset manufactures and
many handsets offer a capability to scale the image UP to an
appropriate dimension or CROP an image slightly to fit the
screen.
www.stuff4myphone.com has received many wallpaper uploads that are
simply TOO BIG for use on a mobile handset. These uploads
are not converted, they are simply deleted.
Please use
an image editor to resize your image to the appropriate
dimensions before uploading to our site. |
